Frequently asked questions
Yes! I provide teletherapy for those in California. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions through Simple Practice, allowing you to receive high-quality care from the comfort of your own home. In my experience, teletherapy has proven to be just as effective as in-person sessions. If you prefer, I also offer in-person sessions in South Pasadena.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
Our first appointment is an opportunity for the two of us to connect and for me to learn about you, why you are seeking support, and what you are hoping to achieve. Many clients find that they leave the first session with new perspectives and often a practical tool or exercise to start applying right away.
A deep sense of connection and trust is at the heart of effective therapy. I focus on building strong, authentic relationships grounded in empathy and respect. Ultimately, deciding if I'm the right therapist for you comes down to style, personal characteristics, and clinical skills. Scheduling a consultation is the best way to find out if we're a good match.
